Preview for dameligaens runde 6

BK Amagers head coach, Todd Anthony, giver hans bud på 6. runde i dameligaen:

Horsens BC  -  Lemvig Basket (lørdag kl. 14.00)

This is a match-up between a very young, inexperienced team in HBC going against a veteran core group with lots of experience in Lemvig.  Lemvig has a lineup that features numerous high profile players in the Dameligaen.  They execute very well, limit turnovers, and do all the little things well that win games.  HBC will bring boundless energy, fight, and a never quit attitude.  Lemvig's size and skill should wear down HBC and produce a comfortable win. Lemvig gets the W.

Værløse BBK  -  BK Amager (lørdag kl. 14.30)

This should be a hard fought game with lots of intensity.  Both teams are young and talented.  Both teams are trying to establish an identity and trying to find their place in the Dameligaen this season.  Can they be in the top four or the bottom four.  Both teams have good guard play that generates a good deal of the offense for their teams.

As the coach for Amager I have the faith that my inside players come ready and make the difference along with a good defensive effort.  I have to pick my ladies but I also believe they can win.  Amager gets the W.

Hørsholm 79ers  -  Aabyhøj IF (lørdag kl. 15.00)

This game should shape up to be a very competitive affair.  Each team has had a high profile not playing the past 2-3 games.  Emilie Hesseldal and Maria Jespersen mean a great deal to their respective teams. Emilie is looking at playing college ball in the states on a scholarship and Maria missed the last 2-3 games before playing this past weekend for the Green.

I think the 79ers do just enough to come out with a win.  Maybe this game goes to overtime.  If Maria plays and the Green get a strong performance from their American Kelly Meredith and Sofie Tryggedsson show up it could easily go the other way.  Hørsholm gets the W.

SISU  -  Falcon (søndag kl. 17.00)

SISU returns home from a trip to Russia.  Are they flat? Are they looking past Falcon?  SISU has shown through the first 5 games they possess an extra gear to pull away from teams. Forgive me for not listing their profiles, they have numerous. They have a very well rounded team that can score the ball from inside and out, and they create very good pace on both ends of the floor.

Falcon has had a very good start to the season.  They are playing well and playing together.  They have found a good balance at both ends of the floor.  Falcon will play hard and challenge SISU.  If SISU takes its foot of the pedal and tries to cruise they could be in trouble.  SISU wins but Falcon shows that they are a team on the rise.  SISU gets the W.
