Amager began the game with an extremely high tempo and energy on the defensive end which allowed them to quickly jump out to a 9-0 lead. Sofia Paska stopped the early bleeding for Lemvig with a two point jump shot with 6 minutes and 9 seconds left in the first quarter but Amager’s defensive intensity and energy did not let up as Paska’s basket would be just one of two baskets scored for Lemvig in the opening frame.

The offensive end was no different for Klussmann’s squad in the first quarter as they scored 23 points on 8 assisted baskets. They scored from the three point line as well as inside of the key area. Sherrill provided 12 points while the 8 team assists came from 7 different players.

Lemvig managed to score 18 points in the second quarter but the defensive end still proved troublesome as they gave up 25 points in the frame and went into the half down 48-23. Kali Koening, who finished the game with 22 points, began to heat up making 2 of her 4 three point baskets in this frame. Sofia Paska and Yana kozhuharova contributed 4 points in this frame as well.

Kali Koening remained the lone bright spot offensively for Lemvig as she stayed hot in the 3rd quarter scoring 8 points. Amager continued to dominate on both ends never surrendering more than 18 points in either quarter.
